Travelling While Standing Still is a unique gin and thoughtful drink created by Macedon-based couple, award-winning advertising and art photographer Jacqui Henshaw and designer/musician Keith Smith. The couple wanted to work on a project together and were inspired by the natural and wild beauty of the Australian Southern coast, where the ocean meets the bush.
They decided on gin as they simply love the stuff and their artistic endeavours – and life together with family holidays often spent at Wye River - led them to create memory and nostalgia, and a sense of time and place, in a gin. The small-batched, handcrafted juniper-based spirit is infused with Sea Spray, Salt Bush and Desert Lime. “I love the expression, ‘as the crow flies,’” says Jacqui, “and the crow flies from the ocean with the sea spray, to the salt bush and on to the desert lime.”
